About

In 1981, I became an avid practitioner of yoga meditation; this turned out to be a gateway to spontaneous (and at the time unsettling) experiences ranging from out-of-body travel to precognition and from clairvoyance to mediumship. The ensuing challenges put me on a path of self-development that continues to date. Years later, I had a spontaneous kundalini awakening that further intensified both the desire and the need to explore subtle energy dynamics and the ultimate nature of reality. Called to share the wealth of information I have accumulated over a lifetime, in 2007 I began teaching inner alchemy classes in the US and Europe. Eventually I also decided to go public with the psychic readings I have been quietly offering for several decades. Whether I am teaching or working individually with a client, my approach is characterized by intellectual soundness, independent empirical exploration, and a deep empathy. Whenever I am not exploring the inner worlds, I spend much of my time reading and writing.

Some seekers benefit from external guidance. My spiritual journey, however, has been internally driven.

Some seekers benefit from external guidance. My spiritual journey, however, has been internally driven. Throughout my life, I kept experiencing situations that challenged me to learn new skills and techniques. At times, my discoveries confirmed time-honored traditions; occasionally, however, they complicated received knowledge. This unusual, and unusually independent, path has produced what I regard as the most authentic lessons in my life. My goal as a teacher is to guide my students in the process of creating their own maps for a territory that, in spite of so many claims, is still largely unknown.

Quieting the mind reveals our fundamental oneness with all that is.

My cosmology is articulated upon the tension between consciousness and manifestation. Contrary to beliefs commonly held in Hindu- and Buddhist-inspired communities, this world is real. The illusion does not consist in believing that we inhabit a physical body inside a physical universe; the illusion is believing that this is all there is to it. As human beings, we are just a minuscule fragment of an infinite universe manifesting itself to its own consciousness. Yet, we are also blessed with the potential to become aware of our own manifestation process, thus realizing the absolute consciousness of which we are an expression. If this is a process that may span several lifetimes, its first step is to develop awareness of the subtle energies that inform one’s inner as well as outer worlds. Quieting the mind reveals our fundamental oneness with all that is; breathwork and meditative practices ultimately bring to the fore some of the latent skills that Indian philosopher Patañjali called siddhis. If used in a non-egoic fashion, these begin to illuminate the true nature of reality, thus strengthening one’s resolve to attain self-realization and promoting in-depth spiritual healing through the awareness that there is more than meets the eye. Because our true nature is, as a matter of fact, absolute consciousness.
